Fun trip to the Southern Islands 5

From Sister's Islands, the ferry left for St John Island which is approximately 6.5 km from mainland Singapore. Its definitely bigger than the previous islands, with better facilities like swimming lagoons and benches where one can rest. The animal lovers with their beloved pets were here too, enjoying their walk in the tranquility of the place.
We gathered for our lunch taking up most of the benches as we were quite a big group. Sandy beaches and swaying coconut trees, could imagine I am in sunny Hawaii. After lunch I proceeded to explore the island. There are camp sites and holiday bungalows here for rent but I was eager to take in the scenery.
This was the old wooden jetty that probably had seen better days. Even in it's dilapidated state, it still is an interesting object for photography. The clear water has clumps of green seaweeds growing at the bottom. It would had been ideal if there were sea birds on the platform. That would be wishful thinking as the sun was up at this hour.
