Visited the 2020 year of the rat "River HongBao" at Marina Bay last week. An event I try to attend every year, it's another photographer's delight simply because it's so colorful in the night. Was here on the second day of the CNY. There were visibly lesser people then usual as many stayed home to avoid crowded areas. It also mean I do not have to jostle for a choice picture :)
Being a senior citizen also have it's advantage as I was allowed a seat near the stage for the cultural performance. This was the first time I watched it till the end. Long time since I had such fun :)
While the cultural show was not in the same league as those from CCTV 4 in terms of grandeur, still the quality of the performers with their songs and dances were high. There was a three minute of display of thrilling fireworks and I was seated near to where the action was. Had a busy time taking photos :)
The night was cool and pleasant for a stroll and admiring all the exhibits. Walked pass a gaily lit display of a replica scooter that was all the rage during the sixties, made popular by the show "Come September" .
