The celebrations in Chinatown is more muted this year, missing is the street bazaar with all it's hustle and bustle. There are much lesser people around. The plus side, can browse, shop at leisure and watch the street artist at work. One familiar voice is the newspaper vendor at the Smith Street hawker centre. 晚报，新明 he would called out to the diners as he passes our tables with a stack of newspaper.
