Sunset at Woodlands Waterfront

Located at the North Eastern corner of Singapore, this is a great place for cycling, jogging and fishing enthusiasts. It's also one of the best place to watch the sunset from the jetty. If you just like to walk, there is a 1.5km waterfront promenade, with intermittently located seats to chill out and rest your tired legs. There is also a 11-hectare park besides the jetty with a small restaurant near the end of the jetty that serves local food.

To get here, one can take the MRT Red-line to Marsiling and transfer to bus 856 from the bus-stop opposite the MRT station. Alight at the bus stop that says just before Woodlands Waterfront and take a short walk to the Jetty. To watch the fantastic sunset, there is a suitable timeframe. It's best to choose a sunny day, where the sky is not so cloudy. The most ideal time to watch the sunset is from 6.45pm to 7.15pm in the evening. Past 7.15pm it starts to get dark, though sometimes one can still get a nice photo taken. The photo above was taken at 7.11pm where there was an unusual cloud formation. Looked unreal, as if a spaceship would descend from the clouds...
