A sequence of shots of my Caladium plant as it developed from tiny shoot to full blown beauty. The first photo shows when it first sprouted out from the soil. It took a few days for it to grow taller.
As it grows, the folded leaf emerged like a butterfly from its cocoon. The stalk would increase in length by many inches in just a few days. It remained in a folded state for a day or two. The third picture shows the leaf unfolding and finally transforming itself like the one besides it. They can be quite big, some are bigger then the palm of my hand. Others are much smaller though. I get to enjoy their beauty for a month or so before they withered and fall off. Hope they grow again like previous as I really like this indoor plant :)
