Singapore Garden Festival 2018 - 3

Some of the flowers at the outdoor garden is the "Helianthus annuus" or commonly known as Sunflower from the Asteraceae family. In the bright afternoon, it certainly stood out with its golden color petals.

These triplets of "Ipomoea tricolor" or Morning Glory plants are also attractive in their violet colors.

These "Golden Shrimp" plants were also at the flower festival with its bracts resembling the scales shrimps. It's no wonder they are named as such.

This plant that looks like a bunch of small fire crackers are the "Hamelia Patens". Indeed it's common name is the Firecracker bush. It's known to have medicinal properties for a variety of ailments.

I think these are "Globe Amaranth" plants, although there are no info labels, have seen them at Hort Park before. There was a dragonfly perched on the flower. It was difficult to get a focus with my handphone and just managed to get its photo after many tries :)
