A walk in Chinatown - 4

After checking in at the boutique hotel, took the opportunity to walk around the area, especially to Craig road to look at the shop-houses. A nice mix of restored buildings and the modern Duxton flat in the background. Further down the road there is this shop with an interesting signage which says "we collect junk but sells antiques". It was quite a few years ago that I took a photo of its view from the back of the shop. Walked pass the shop today and noticed it was stuff full of many interesting items. I do like all these curio shops, there was one in Queensway that even had a working valve radio set that many people owned during the sixties.

  1. Indeed, Chinatown offers some of the best leisure walks in Singapore. Definitely one of my favourite haunts just walking along its many alleyways and looking at the old architecture.

  2. I do like exploring and admiring the buildings that were restored to their previous glory too :)
However, sometimes its increasingly hard to find new subjects for photography. Still, it's enjoyable to come to this area once in a while.
